Currículum Vitae

Francisco Navas Guzmán, PhD

Ramón y Cajal Researcher
Andalusian Institute for Earth System Research (IISTA CEAMA)
University of Granada, Spain

Profile

I am a Ramón y Cajal Researcher at the University of Granada and a member of the Atmospheric Physics Group at the Andalusian Institute for Earth System Research (IISTA CEAMA). My research focuses on the remote sensing of atmospheric aerosols, clouds, water vapor, and temperature, with particular emphasis on aerosol optical and microphysical properties, aerosol–cloud–radiation interactions, and vertically resolved atmospheric profiling.

My work combines advanced ground based remote sensing techniques (Raman lidar, microwave radiometry, ceilometers, sun/sky photometry) with satellite observations and data assimilation approaches. I have extensive experience in the development, validation, and application of multi sensor synergies within international observing networks such as ACTRIS, AERONET, EARLINET, and E PROFILE, as well as in the validation of satellite missions including EarthCARE and Aeolus.
